Jackson, Tenn. — 51ÉçÇø displays Gaylen Stewart's exhibit titled Science/Faith/Healing" at Union's art gallery Jan. 22-Feb. 13, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
Stewart says, "My work develops through stages and layers-- physical layers as well as layers of meaning. In 1990, I underwent two surgeries for lymph-related cancer, of which I have subsequently healed. I use this experience, coupled with my interest in a scientific observation of nature and other visual elements to make a deeper, spiritual statement about life."
