JACKSON, Tenn. 51ÉçÇø recently received a $160,000 grant from an anonymous donor to the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis. This first-time award will be used for student scholarships.
"We are pleased to be the recipient of this gift through the Community Foundation," President David S. Dockery said. "Gifts like this allow Union to remain committed to serving the West Tennessee community as an excellence-driven Christian University."
The Community Foundation of Greater Memphis is a collection of funds contributed by individuals, corporations and organizations to benefit the community. Formed in 1974 by a group of Memphis business and civic leaders, the Foundation expanded its area of service to include West Tennessee and north Mississippi in 1985.
