Day One

Join President Dr. Samuel 鈥淒ub鈥 Oliver for our opening session as he talks about the
Union experience. Student coordinators
and university staff will explain what we hope you gain from Orientation.

Union has great resources for your student and we want you to know about them. This session is led by Dr. Bryan Carrier, Vice
President for Student Life and Dean of Students, who will lead a panel highlighting campus resources.

Meet your classmates, and then learn about the history of campus and its impact on students today.
Union 101 — The Logos
Get acquainted with some of the programs and resources in place to help you succeed in the classroom.

We want students and guests to know about campus life at Union and some of the resources that can supplement
learning. Pick three sessions that interest you (see below). Each one will last 25 minutes (unless otherwise noted).

Pick up your key for the evening. During this block, you will have time to fill out required paperwork.

Day Two
During Day 2 of NSO, you will need to go to Safety and Security (SUB, SA-60) to turn in your parking permit paperwork and take your picture for student ID.
- 8–10:30 a.m.
Grab-n-Go Breakfast — Bowld Student Commons, Fireplace Room
- 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Advising Appointments and Registration — Various Locations
Check-in with the New Student Orientation Team in the Bowld Lobby to begin the registration and advising process.
During these appointments, you will meet with an Academic Advisor and Financial Planning.
Members of the Honors Cohort will have a meeting with the Honors Program, and students
who requested to have a meeting with Disability Services will meet with Dr.
Greg Bohner in PAC F-39.
- BEFORE CHECKING OUT in the Bowld Student Commons Lobby,
remember to complete the following:
- Turn in parking permit paperwork (Safety and Security Office, SUB, SA-60)
- Take ID picture (Safety and Security Office, SUB, SA-60)
- Filled out Emergency Contact Information

Residence Life Tour — starts in Bowld Student Commons
During free time between appointments, we want to give you an opportunity to see oncampus
apartments, including rooms in the Quads and Heritage. Meet at the front desk of the Bowld Student Commons.

Starting with academic resources such as Supplemental Instruction, Discipline/Class Specific Study Labs to our highly successful Keystone programs for Freshmen, our Center is a place to learn how to learn while learning what to learn.
