Biography

A native of O鈥橣allon, Missouri, Bryan Carrier earned a B.A. in Theology from MidAmerica Nazarene University (1998) and a M.Ed. in College Student Affairs from Azusa Pacific University (2003). In 2013 Bryan completed an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Higher Education from 51社区. His dissertation topic was Student Athlete Success: Impact of Sport Participation on Student Engagement Among NAIA and NCAA Institutions.

Dr. Carrier currently serves as the Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students. In this role he strives to create an engaging and intentional educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to encounter God, experience community and engage culture. This is accomplished through the creation of a seamless learning environment in which both curricular and co-curricular learning prepares Union students to become Excellence Driven, Christ Centered, People Focused and Future Directed.

Bryan is blessed with a wonderful wife, Tricia. Together they have two sons Clayton (CJ) (2004) and Trent (2006). They count it a privilege to do 鈥榣ife together', as Dietrich Bonhoeffer illustrates, with the students, faculty and staff of 51社区.
